Feedback from the Trade on Their Plans and Interest in the USA Pear Season:

Due to the high export prices of USA pears, pending USA election results and other uncertainties, Jinsheng Trading Co.,Ltd. temporarily stopped the USA pears imports. The decision on whether to continue the imports will be made after the results of the U.S. election are known. Joy Wing Mau began to get quotes from US exporters. If the imports can be realized, Joy Wing Mau will supply the USA pears to Freshippo and Ole & Blt. Sam's Club will continue to import U.S. pears this year, primarily to meet market demand during the Chinese New Year.

Update on the Competition in the Market:

Three containers of the Belgian Conference arrived in China. The quality was acceptable with relatively high wholesale prices and a fine movement. Six containers of the Dutch Conference arrived in China. The quality was acceptable with reasonable or relatively high wholesale prices and a fine movement. Three containers of South African Forelle arrived in China. The quality was acceptable with low or reasonable wholesale prices and a fine movement. Two containers of Forelle and one container of Packham's from Chile arrived in China. The quality & movement were acceptable with low wholesale prices. Domestic pears were in full swing, with varieties of Fragrant Pear, Autumn Moon Pear, Housui Pear, Ya Pear, Snowflake Pear and Crown Pear. The quality and price levels varied with acceptable or fine movement.
